POST TRAINING ANTI-OXIDANT BERRY BOOST

I DON'T ADVOCATE SMOOTHIES  AS A PERMANENT SOLUTION TO ANY HEALTH CONDITION BUT THEY CAN CERTAINLY HAVE THEIR PLACE IN A BALANCED DIET. IF YOU ARE ON THE MOVE, SHORT OF TIME, NEED A VEGETABLE BOOST OR UNDER THE WEATHER, A SMOOTHIE COULD BE THE WAY TO GO. JUST REMEMER THAT THEY NEED TO INCLUDE GOOD FATS TO ABSORB ANY LIPOPHYLIC VITMANS (FAT SOLUBLE), AND IF THEY ARE IN PLACE OF A MEAL, OR AFTER EXECRCISE THEY NEED TO INCLUDE SOME PROTEIN. ENJOY!

  • 1 scoop organic whey protein
  • large handful fresh raspberries
  • 1 scoop reds powder (I used Neal's Yard Remedies Berry Blend Radiance Boost)
  • Juice 1  lime
  • 2 tbsp shredded coconut
  • 200ml coconut water
  1. Combine the lot in a blender

The NYR reds blend does contain some stevia and maltodextrin already, if yours isn't particularly sweet  chuck in a large chunk of ripe mango and enjoy the extra anti-inflammatory and prebiotic fibre benefits.
